Event business afterwork: “Agro-Industrial Sector: Discover the Potential, Invest with Confidence, Côte d'Ivoire is Waiting for You!”

The 2024 event will focus on investment in the agro-industrial sector in Côte d'Ivoire, marking a significant step forward in strengthening cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and Austria, under the theme Event business Afterwork: “Agro-Industrial Sector: Discover the Potential, Invest with Confidence, Côte d'Ivoire is Waiting for You!”. The event is not exclusive only to the agro-industrial sector and other topics will be discussed with the Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Any interested partners and private sector operators wishing to do business with Côte d´Ivoire are welcome to participate and contribute. This initiative will be followed by an economic mission to Abidjan, aimed at forging strong commercial links, fostering the creation of joint ventures and attracting further investment, while encouraging the sharing of technology and know-how.

The objectives are:

Strengthen economic ties between Côte d'Ivoire and Austria (incl. Dach and Balkan regions) by promoting trade and investment.
Raise the profile of Côte d'Ivoire as an attractive investment destination among Austrian business players.
Highlight existing business opportunities in the country.

ADYFE & YH Consulting play an strategic advisory role towards the Embassy of Côte d´Ivoire in Austria to support its economic mission to increase the Ivorian private sector visibility, investment & market opportunities in Austria through the GotLinks platform and in partnership with WKÖ.

Highlight of Côte d'Ivoire business afterwork 2023 (1st Edition)

The 2023 event was a real success and brought together over 60 people. The 2023 event “Fostering investment and visibility on market opportunities of Côte d´Ivoire in Austria” showcased Côte d´Ivoire´s economic prospects to the Austrian private sector. It mobilized strategic stakeholders, investors, potential partners and increased the overall visibility of Côte d'Ivoire in Austria. Following the roundtable, guests were invited to interact and exchange views during a cocktail / buffet reception which enabled WKÖ and the Austrian private sector to engage with the embassy as well as the co-organizers, and explore ways of strengthening their partnerships while contributing to cooperation and partnership building between the two countries.

The event featured the intervention of key actors such as H.E. Mr. Cissé YACOUBA, Ambassador, Permanent Representative, Embassy of Côte d'Ivoire in Austria (physically), H.E. Dr. Souleymane DIARASSOUBA, Minister of Trade, Industry and SME Promotion, Côte d'Ivoire (online intervention), Mr. Félix YENAN, Director of Commissions and Advocacy, CGECI (Confédération Générale des enterprises de Côte d'Ivoire - online intervention), as well as M. Martin Woller, Africa Region Director, WKÖ (physically). The event offered a roundtable for all participants to interact and be presented with the Ivoirian economic ecosystem and opportunities.
